Love Marlow recognized at Visitor Industry Luncheon
We're proud of Stacey and Leslie Malmgren, owners of Love Marlow, who won the First Impressions-Retail Award at the Experience Sioux Falls annual Visitor Industry Luncheon.
The Malmgrens were nominated by Friessen Development, Inc., developers of Lake Lorraine. Here’s part of their nomination form:
Shopping is an experience at Love Marlow, a boutique at Lake Lorraine that specializes in clothing for women sizes 12-28. Owners Stacey and Leslie Malmgren believe that all women should feel confident and beautiful. They’re sisters — twin sisters — and together they’ve built a business and a loyal following because of their business niche and their amazing customer service.
When you walk in the door, you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is bright and the clothes are colorful — and you’ll most likely be greeted by one or both sisters with a big smile.
As the owners of the boutique, they are involved in every decision with their boutique, from its buildout to the brands of clothing and accessories that they carry. Their commitment to quality, stylish clothing and extraordinary service keeps bringing customers to their store,
Love Marlow is unique to many other boutiques because women who are size 12-28 can shop the entire store — not just one tiny rack of plus-size clothes. Stacey and Leslie are helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory and spend time with customers to ensure they find exactly what it is they’re looking for.

Opening Love Marlow was a dream for these sisters, who have years of experience in the retail industry. Owning a retail business during a global pandemic, however, was not easy. But like everything else they do, the Malmgren sisters worked through the pandemic challenges with intention and positivity — they created safe shopping opportunities for their customers, enhanced their website to make online shopping easier and continued to give back to the community through clothing drives, self-improvement classes, book clubs and more.
Stacey and Leslie realized their dream when they opened Love Marlow in 2018. They’ve been a great addition to the Sioux Falls retail community and we’re so happy that they chose Lake Lorraine!
