Hotworx offering pre-sale rates on May 6

Hotworx is a 24-hour infrared fitness studio coming to Lake Lorraine this July. On Friday, May 6, members get pre-sale pricing starting at $39 per month. Stop in and learn more at 2400 S. Marion Rd. from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Hotworx is a national fitness option that uses infrared heat coupled with isometric workouts and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts to effectively maximize fitness results. The studio is staffed part-time but members have access at all hours. Through technology, a variety of infrared sauna workouts are available 24 hours a day. Virtual instructors guide members through 15-minute HIIT and 30-minute isometric sessions.

Infrared is radiant energy that travels in wavelengths on the invisible light spectrum and creates heat. Infrared energy and heat absorption strengthens and activates the regenerative process in the body, while the warming effect recreates a comfortable atmosphere for hot exercises. By using a heated space, less warm-up time is needed and an increase in core body temperature speeds up metabolism.

Class options include 30-minute isometric workouts: Hot ISO, Hot Buns, Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Barre None, Hot Bands, Hot Warrior, and Hot Core. Options for 15-minute HIIT workouts are: Hot Cycle, Hot Blast, and Hot Thunder. In addition, there is a functional training area with bands, weights, ropes and other equipment is available for members to use before, after or in between workouts.
