Sioux Falls' only westside Farmers Market opens June 2
The Lake Lorraine Farmers Market begins its fourth season on Thursday, June 2. The market takes place on the east side of the development in the parking lot south of Hobby Lobby. It runs every Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Beginning with the Oct. 6 market, hours switch to 4-6:30 p.m. for the remainder of the season, which concludes at the end of the month or when weather becomes prohibitive.

Products vary weekly throughout the season. Market-goers will see baked goods, eggs, honey, honey products, vegetable plants, lamb, poultry, beef, salsas and sauces, dried fruit and plenty of vegetables! Additional vendors offer non-food products and services, including knife-sharpening, Pampered Chef and doTerra products. Special events taking place as part of the market activities include:
Thursday, June 30: 2nd Annual Acton Academy Children’s Business Fair. Up to 30 kid entrepreneurs will be at the market selling their products. Learn more here.
Thursday, Sept. 29: Pumpkin Day at the Farmers Market. Thanks to Hanisch Farms, market-goers can take home a free pumpkin or decorate it onsite. Other fun activities to be announced!
Other markets will feature live music and other food trucks, with dates to be announced.
The Lake Lorraine Farmers Market is managed by Friessen Development, Inc., who are developing the Lake Lorraine lifestyle center with partners Van Buskirk Companies.
