Experience Lake Lorraine
A lake in the middle of the city is the perfect way to get away without having to go too far. Plus, there’s shops and stores and outdoors and EXPERIENCES you’ll find at Lake Lorraine that you won’t see anywhere else in Sioux Falls!
Maintaining meaningful outdoor space for the community to enjoy was high on the list of priorities when the Friessen family began developing the Lake Lorraine property. The lake was to be utilized as a distinguishing feature, drawing people from across the region for recreation and relaxation.
Here’s a sampling of some of the unique ways to experience the lifestyle center; more amenities and features continue to be added.

The GFP provides education about outdoor skills, wildlife, conservation and management practices to all ages in order to preserve our outdoor heritage.
Lake Lorraine Farmers Market
Join us Thursdays from June-October from 4-7 p.m. on the EAST side of the lake, in the parking lot south of Hobby Lobby.
The Lake Lorraine Farmers Market started in 2019. This is the first market on the western side of Sioux Falls. Interested in being a vendor? Learn more here!
Lake Walk
Developing the Lake Walk was the first step of the recreation opportunities at Lake Lorraine. The Lake Walk loop is approximately one mile.
Users can stop at various vantage points to sit on benches or swings and enjoy the view. Additional concepts will continue to be added as development around the lake is completed. These features are the Friessen family’s gift to the community of Sioux Falls.
