Farmers Market kicks off June 4

The Lake Lorraine Farmers Market returns for its 7th season at the westside lifestyle center on Thursday, June 4. It will run each Thursday from 4-7 p.m. into October. The market takes place in the parking lot between Hobby Lobby and Dave & Buster’s. The market is managed by Friessen Development, Inc. and includes a variety of vendors offering an array of products.

Pop-Up Fishing Events with SD Game, Fish & Parks

Lake Lorraine is privately-owned and public fishing and swimming are not allowed. However, FDI has partnered with Game, Fish & Parks to offer fishing classes and pop-up fishing events. Once a month a pop-up event is scheduled in conjunction with the farmers market. Watch social media for updates on any schedule changes.

Acton Academy Children’s Business Fair

Up to 50 booths will be at The 6th Annual Acton Children's Business Fair Sioux Falls. Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy and then open for customers at this one-day marketplace.  The Acton Children's Business Fair is open to any child between the ages of 6-17. There is a $30 booth fee, which will cover advertising costs, signage and other organizational materials. This event is sponsored by Acton Academy Sioux Falls, the Acton School of Business, Lake Lorraine, KAJ Hospitality, and the generous support of our donors and volunteers.

Mobile Zoo at the Market

The Great Plains Zoo is bringing its Mobile Zoo to the farmers market. Come out to purchase goods from your favorite vendors and also meet some of the Zoo’s animals. More details to come as the event gets closer.
