Race a hobby horse for McCrossan Boys Ranch

Big Lost Meadery & Brewery is holding a relay race on Lake Lorraine’s Lake Walk on Saturday, June 21— the first annual Hobby Horse Relay. The point isn’t to be the fastest, however, and you must use a hobby horse while making your way around the lake and competing at various stations. It’s a fun way to raise money for McCrossan Boys Ranch.

Registration is now open for teams of four, which costs $80 and includes four drink tickets to Big Lost. You must be 16 to participate. Drinking alcohol is not required as part of the competition. A hobby horse can be homemade or a stick horse or some other “horse” (broomstick, mop, etc.).

The event is a one-mile relay around the lake. Each team will need to complete all the skills and events around the lake to finish the relay. Each team must get all events checked off to finish the relay. Prizes will be awarded, too.
