Spring construction updates

It’s Orange Cone Season again in South Dakota. While all roads are open at the Lake Lorraine development, you may find it easier to get here from the north — especially if traveling on Interstate 29.

Traffic on the 41st Street diverging diamond interchange construction project has shifted to one lane in each direction on the north side of the 41st Street bridge. Currently, if exiting on 41st Street from the south, you cannot turn west. This is part of the conversion of the intersection into its final configuration. The project is expected to be completed in June. In the meantime, it’s easier to enter Lake Lorraine off I-29 using the 26th Street exit.

Construction is underway on the lot between The Blu on Lorraine and the Hyatt Place. Big Lost Meadery and Brewery and Ranch and Roost are slated to open on this site in early 2025. Read more about the project here.

Construction will not block off any routes for through travelers.

This view is from the west side looking north. The meadery will have a back patio overlooking the lake.

The Shores on Lake Lorraine are now adding twin homes to their existing fourplex townhomes. Built by Krumvieda Companies, the properties on the south end of the lake are customizable. One of the townhomes is included in the Spring Parade of Homes. Located at 2722 S. Oriya Pl., this property has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and measures 3,543 sq. ft. It is listed for $1.575 million.
