Acton Academy Children's Business Fair returns June 29

The 3rd Annual Acton Academy Sioux Falls Children's Business Fair returns to the Lake Lorraine Farmers Market Thursday, June 29, from 4-6 p.m. An awards ceremony will follow.

The Children’s Business Fair and Lake Lorraine Farmers Market will take place on the east side of Lake Lorraine in the parking lot between Hobby Lobby and Dave & Buster’s.

The Acton Children’s Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneur. This one-day market gives children the opportunity to showcase their very own businesses. Approximately 50 booths featuring young entrepreneurs ages 6-14 will be at the fair.

From baked goods to art to jewelry to stickers, you’ll find an array of products developed by kid CEOs. The children’s business fair ties in nicely with the Lake Lorraine Farmers Market, which also features approximately 20 regional producers of vegetables, baked goods and more.

ABOUT ACTON ACADEMY

Acton Academy is “student-led.” This means young people take ownership of their education and peer relationships. Acton students learn to think independently, take responsibility and embrace challenge. A value at Acton is that children learn best by doing. Whether it’s launching a startup business, creating a tidepool habitat, playing a musical instrument, painting a mosaic, or programming a robot, Acton students are building real-life skills in the classroom every day.
