Love Marlow to host self-defense class

Love Marlow is offering a Ladies Self-Defense Class on Saturday, June 22. Empowering women through self defense fits in with the owners’ mission of celebrating all women to make the world a better place.

“At Love Marlow we believe in empowering women to not only feel beautiful, but also to protect themselves,” said shop owners Stacey and Leslie Malmgren.

Matt Johnson of Shepherd Defense will teach proper techniques in defending yourself and how to be ultra-aware of your surroundings. Participants will leave the class feeling more confident and empowered. The class will take place at the store (2400 S. Marion Rd., Suite 150) from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Space is limited and tickets cost $10 and can be purchased in-store or online. Attendees should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Appetizers will be provided.
