More information about the All Abilities Playground Equipment:

This playground is part of a partnership between the Noon Sertoma Club and the City of Sioux Falls to add and replace play pieces at Sertoma Park that are able to be used by children of all abilities. The three-year fundraising campaign aims to rase $500,000. The initial phase of this project will include the replacement of the existing pieces at Sertoma Park and replacing them with All Abilities Equipment.

In a 2009-17 study, the CDC estimated that approximately one in six children aged 3-17 have one or more developmental disabilities. The planned Me2® equipment meets the 7 Principles of Inclusive Playground Design developed by PlayCore, in partnership with Utah State University, Center for Persons with Disabilities. All Abilities Equipment provides intentional opportunities for physical, cognitive, communicative, social/emotional, and sensory development.
