Enter the Haunted House Decorating Contest

If you love Halloween, the 4th Annual Lake Lorraine Haunted House Decorating Contest is for you! There’s tons of Halloween-themed homes decorated throughout the Sioux Falls area. This contest is a great way to show off your creativity and invite the public to share in the fun! There is NO charge to participate; photos of entrants will be shown on the website and social media.

Contest entries open Oct. 9. After all the entries are submitted, we’ll share our “Haunted House” list to encourage the public to check them out!

The inspiration for the event…

Remember “Christmas Lanes” and how families would hop in the car and drive around to see how people decorated their homes for the holidays? In recent years, we’ve noticed a surge of cool Halloween-themed decorated homes. We created the Haunted House Decorating Contest in 2020. We wanted to promote a fun, safe way for families to celebrate Halloween — and to showcase those decorated homes!
