An inside look at Dave & Buster's

On April 4 Dave & Buster’s is opening its 148th operational store in Sioux Falls, the first of five new locations to open in 2022.

For many people, this may be the first time they’ve experienced Dave & Buster’s — and what is it? The company’s slogan is “Eat. Play. Drink. Watch.,” said Jared Hilliard, the general manager of the Sioux Falls location. But you don’t have to do all four — there’s something for everyone, he said.

Here’s a quick look at what you’ll find at the Sioux Falls Dave & Buster’s, located at Lake Lorraine:

  • At 19,000 square feet, the Sioux Falls location is the smaller model for Dave & Buster’s. You’ll still find plenty of fun. There are 88 games with 120 player stations, some games are multi-player. There are two types of games — those that offer an experience (racing, driving, shooting) and games you play to win tickets. Wednesdays are half-price game day — all day. Tickets, which are all digital, are redeemable at the Winner’s Circle, where you can pick out anything from a Chinese finger trap to an Apple Watch.

  • Dave & Buster’s has the state’s largest television, which measures 10 feet by 40 feet. You’ll be able to watch all your favorite sports, including UFC. Dave & Buster’s is a corporate partner with UFC and will carry all pay-per-view and non-pay-per-view fights.

  • The capacity is 1,150.

  • Kids under 18 are allowed, but they’ll have to be accompanied by an adult.

  • Dave & Buster’s features the same menu items at all locations. They have everything from burgers, sandwiches and wings to salads, nachos and flatbreads. Appetizers and shareables are fan favorites.

  • Hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday-Tuesday and 11 a.m.-Midnight Wednesday-Saturday. Food is available up to 30 minutes before closing and alcoholic beverages can be purchased up to 15 minutes before closing.

  • Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 4-7 p.m. and features drink specials like half-off all cocktails, $1 off tall draft beers, $1 off glasses of wine and $3 off bottles of wine. On Sunday-Thursday, there’s also late-night Happy Hour from 9 p.m.-close.

  • The Sioux Falls locations doesn’t have a private party room, but Dave & Buster’s can still accommodate celebration events like birthdays, anniversaries, retirements or corporate events. Early morning events or buying out the store are also options for private events or presentations. Call the local number (605.740.2100) to schedule any of these activities.
