Scheels employees explore Lake Lorraine
Special events at Lake Lorraine are truly special. Several employees from Scheels All Sports were able to explore the development in a way not many can — on the water.
The annual Scheels University held part of its sessions on Lake Lorraine where employees had the opportunity to try out different watercraft. Scheels coordinated with the Hyatt Place to organize the water activities. Additional events were also held at Wall Lake.
Lake Lorraine is privately-owned and is not open to the public for swimming or fishing activities. Partnerships with the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Department—The Outdoor Campus and seasonal business Flow and Paddle allow for the public to participate in scheduled classes for water recreation like fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and pedal-boating. All participants must register for classes and sign waivers.
