Cryotherapy business coming to Lake Lorraine

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, SIOUX FALLS, SD – Friessen Development and Van Buskirk Companies are pleased to announce Sioux Falls Cryo, LLC will be opening at Marketplace at Lake Lorraine.  They will offer cryotherapy services, which is the practice of using cold temperatures to support healing and wellness.

Managing owner, Susan Meier, along with her husband, had sought out a few west side locations, in which to place their business but chose Lake Lorraine’s Marketplace for the high visibility and the growing list of users coming to the development. 

“I had never really taken a solid look at the development but once we drove around, we were amazed! The lake was beautiful and there was so much development going on that we knew this was the best spot.” commented Susan.

Susan is working with the national business, Impact Cryotherapy, which is the leading U.S. manufacturer and designer of whole body cryosaunas. Sioux Falls Cryo will have one cyrosauna to start and space for a second.  Each session takes about 10 minutes including three minutes in the cryosauna, which fills with nitrogen vapor and a dry chill between -130 and -184 (Fahrenheit).

“My husband and I were introduced to cryotherapy in Indiana and were impressed by the results. Then, we were surprised to find out Sioux Falls did not have one, and the idea snowballed from there,” said Susan.

They plan to open in mid-October just a couple of doors down from Topper’s Pizza.

Lake Lorraine Lifestyle Center is located just west of I-29 between 26th and 41st Street in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Lake Lorraine is the place to Live, Dine, Work, Shop, Play and Stay. The development will feature a dedicated, interactive one-mile Lake Walk that will be available to the entire community to enjoy.
