Lake Lorraine brings first Kirkland's to South Dakota

Friessen Development and Van Buskirk Companies are pleased to announce Kirkland’s will be joining the growing list of national retailers coming to The Shoppes at Lake Lorraine, and is expected to open in Spring 2018.  Kirkland’s is a leading retailer of unique home décor and gifts and has over 340 stores spread across 35 states.  This will be the first Kirkland’s in South Dakota!

“Kirkland’s has leased 10,000 square feet in the building that is currently under construction,” said Mike Van Buskirk, Director of Operations for Van Buskirk Companies.  “It’s always exciting when you have the opportunity to introduce a brand new retailer to the market and Lake Lorraine is just a great spot for them to be!”

Kirkland’s customers will enjoy finding unique products that create the backdrop for memorable life events.  They strive to provide great style in their selection of home décor and gifts displayed in inspirational environments and provide it all at a great price.

Van Buskirk Construction is wrapping up construction on DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, which is expected to open Spring 2018.  Other retailers already open include Hobby Lobby, Ross Dress for Less, Carter’s / OshKosh B’gosh, Home Goods, and Marshall’s.

Leasing continues on new construction retail buildings, some which will be located just south of Hobby Lobby, with others adjacent to the lake. This area will contain over 102,000 square feet of boutiques and specialty shops, unique lakeside dining, and the Aloft Hotel.
