KELO: New Sensor to Relieve Traffic Stress at Lake Lorraine

Story by Claire Lavezzorio  with Keloland News

Security National Bank sits right on the corner of 26th Street and Lorraine Drive in west Sioux Falls.

Branch Manager Jennifer Johnson has a front-row seat to the cars driving by.

"When a couple of the businesses first opened, it was definitely an eye opener to see all of the people turning in here," Johnson said.

With Marshalls and Homegoods now open nearby, a left turn onto Lorraine Drive isn't easy.

"We're having a hard time storing all of the left turning vehicles and getting them moved efficiently through the intersection," City Engineer Heath Hoftiezer said.
